Who remembers today the names of the rugby players who, back in 1924, brought Romania its first Olympic medal, or their supporters' names, the first to have experienced a Romanian Olympic victory?
The glory of champions, which is also their supporters' glory, is just as perishable as any living organism.
Making a donation for the construction of a Romanian Olympic monument is something like extending this glory's lifespan, in a very tangible way: displaying within the monument the Romanian Olympic champions' photos and lifestories, as well as all the donours' names.
The creative concept equates the status of an Olympic champion with that of her/his "anonymous" supporter ("the ordinary Romanian"), and the three executions use well-established symbols of "glory": flame (TV), echo (radio) and diploma (print).
The message of this campaing intiated by the Romanian Olympic Committee: making a donation for the construction of the Olympic House and the Sports Museum by simply calling 0900 90 2004, you make sure that your share of the Romanian Olympic glory will live on. |
