A mysterious model. The competition is caught on the wrong foot. A prototype carefully hidden in a futurist location, guarded more fiercely than the Pentagon. And the only one who ca get it is a 007 of industrial espionage. However, things are never what they seem to be. Since September 2004 on TV screens. And on Graffiti BBDO's site.
REWIND. 6 months earlier. Imagine you work in an advertising agency. Imagine you have to come up with a campaign for the new Dacia, which is such a top secret project, that all you initially know about it is its code name.
FFWD.
4 months later. Now strain your imagination a bit
more to find out that your team is going to Spain
to shoot the TRAILER. Yes, that’s the name
of your concept, for which everyone involved would’ve
(already) sacrificed their very last neuron.
FFWD.
Now go on imagining four full days of shooting in
6 fabulous locations in Madrid and the surrounds,
plus the Flash Studio Norte sets. A lead actor called
Doug Allen, whose looks and acting should make Pierce
Brosnan quit his job. (Please lodge your Fan Club
applications here) The 40 degrees Celsius in the "desert" crossed
by the road to Toledo, where the frames with and
from the helicopter were shot. The frenzy to get
original music for the spot - Morcheeba! And then
maybe you'll understand why working in advertising
is cool, as they say.
THE
(happy) END.
This fantasy was fulfilled for Graffiti BBDO with the kind support of Tiempo BBDO Madrid, THE FAMILY (Spain) Production Company, director Keith English, DOP Bob Williams and the set designer Bruce Hill(all made in the UK). |
