Graffiti BBDO, the first agency in Romania awarded at The Epica Awards
Bucharest, December 3, 2003

Graffiti BBDO is one of the winners of the 17th edition of The Epica Awards, being therefore the first agency in Romania to receive awards at this festival.

The award was granted for the ad called "Positive", which was produced for Guinness (URBB). The creative team that created this print ad consists of Adrian Preda - Creative Director, Cosmin Ezaru - Art Director & Copywriter and Diana Pojoga - Account Manager.

This is actually the second outstanding success for the ad called "Positive", in international competitions, it having received also The Golden Drumstick at Golden Drum Festival 2003 (Portoroz, Slovenia). More than that, due to this award at Golden Drum, the agency contributed with a considerable number of points in the BBDO Worldwide Network Ranking. Consequently, BBDO Worldwide was designated "The most awarded network in the world" by The Gunn Report.

Epica Awards is the most important European competition; its jury consists of experts in advertising from the European specialized press. The criteria used were: originality and quality of execution.

The Epica Awards Ceremony will take place in Dublin in January 2004.

All the works awarded at The Epica Awards are published in specialized publications from entire Europe as well as in Epica Book. When Epica Awards comes to an end, all the works are donated to the permanent collection of The Advertising Museum, which is part of Louvre Museum.

In 2003, Graffiti BBDO won various awards at the International Advertising Festivals: short-listed at The Hall of Fame, organized by World Federation of Advertising (WFA); Golden Stick Award at Golden Drum 2003; Great Award at Golden Beach Umbrella 2003; Special Award of the Jury (Ad Spot Non-Profit) at ADEE (Ad European Events), Palermo, 2003; Intermedia Globe Silver at Worldmedia Festival Hamburg 2003; Festival of Ideas - short-listed for the following campaigns: "The Experiment", "Romtelecom for Romania". In addition to that, the company was also awarded at the most important national competitions - AdPrint 2003 ("The Best Campaign"& "The Best Print") and Ad'Or 2003 ("The Best Print" for pharmaceutical products & cosmetics category).
